Streamer/Canon/AU: Streamer
Plans: Let me first state that as the movieverse Kenshin, he isn't as clumsy and overly goofy as his anime/manga counterparts. That said, he is here with no idea of what's going on and wants to just live normally. Unfortunately, normal doesn't happen to much whenever he is concerned. He also will be asking people what this fancy thing called a smartphone is and also well, anything like the cars and the motorcycles and chocobos.
What I'm Looking For: People he can be friends with, people to argue with, people who will realize that the funny little man is actually a very skilled killer, people to teach him how to tech. People in general even.

Let's be confused over this "smart phone" thing together. Liadrin doesn't even know what a phone is....

He's heard of it, in a kind of 'Westerners have this thing called telegraphs and they are talking about working on something in which you can talk directly to people' but it's not something that he actually pays too much attention to. Heck, they didn't even have bikes yet in his time (it was something in Europe though not that popular yet).

There's nothing at all like that on Azeroth. I mean, there might be spells that can perform that sort of thing, but your average person wouldn't have access...

Then again, Liadrin knew the blood elves' Grand Magister, so maybe she's had a glimpse. Still, this is gonna confound her something fierce.

The same for him. Luckily there is a giant ape guy who is willing to science at him to show him things.

Though Kenshin is still gonna be all O.o at a talking ape.

Same thing applies to Liadrin re: the monkey. Think she's seeing things or has been hitting the Mulgore firewater too hard...

I just discovered and all but inhaled the Kenshin live action movies last year. I am still not entirely over the amazing fight choreography. I would love to have Tifa and Kenshin get to meet. Who knows? Maybe we could trick him into sparring with her or something at some point. She'll certainly be willing to help with the chocobos (because that has far too much potential to be hysterical)

IKR? They did such a great job in those movies. I'm hoping I do the character justice.

Oh that would be interesting. I do love Tifa and he is always easily to trick by the right people XD

After replying to the starter post, it occurs to me that Akira IS from a future version of Japan (granted one with a more liberal take on physics. And a lot of hot blooded fighting) where odds are the Meiji period DID happen, and they went over it in the history books. Even if they may have not covered the extra cool version of what happened in the films, but it's still a modern culture that has roots in the past.

That's definitely an option to pursue if that sounds interesting.

So basically have her know stuff about the Meiji happening but not his part in the battles? Unless it would be under the name Battosai who had reportedly walked away after the last decisive battle.

Yeah, I was thinking of painting in broad strokes to prevent any canon puncturing or confusion, but it was one of those "Wait, I KNOW this history period, and odds are the character would too since she's from a modern environment."

Given that it's Rival Schools the history teacher can probably chuck textbooks as projectile attacks, but that's neither here nor there. (And there IS a swordsman in the canon, though Akira doesn't necessarily have the highest opinion of him. Thankfully it's more with the character himself rather than the fighting style.)

I actually don't care too much myself about 4th wall breaking XD I've played a lot of facetwin characters and characters who are very easily amused by the whole 'wait i know this canon' things, though if it's something int eh rules, then that's okay too.
